Somalia's Scarcity of Suave Scoundrels, Superabundance of Sinister Swindlers Set to Spoil Shipping Sempiternally

  1. I like how you clearly and concisely described the reasoning for Somalia's piracy. My main take away is that Somalians are forced to become pirates because they are in desperate poverty.
Follow up question: If the UN removed its patrol boats and aid to Somalia due to the decrease of piracy, then why is it still such a problem?

  2. 1. I like how you organized your article in a very cohesive way so that you transitioned into each new sentence well. I also like how you connected piracy to famine, I think this connection strengthens your ideas well.
    2. After reading your article, I am much more informed about piracy in Somalia and am interested to learn more about the condition of the issue as time progresses.
    3. One question I have is, does Al-Shabab support piracy in Somalia and if so, how does the group specifically show their support? Are they involved with the crimes?
