Righteous and greedy,
Us humans,
Judging,
creating morales of:
“Right” and
“Wrong”
Decentralizing,
The true creeds
Spoken by the enlightened ones of the past
Manipulating,
Allowed far enough,
Indoctrinated with pointless fears and countless worries
Worshipping
Gods unspoken and
Places never visited
While the pantheons
Sit and observe
Reserving their judgments
for the highest courts;
--------------
We must
Destroy
Each fallacy,
Set into place By the wise man
For he knows
only half the truth
I thought this was really deep and interesting! Very interesting similes, analogies, and everything! Cool stuff
ReplyDeleteI really liked the line-breaking you used in your poem. I can relate to this as well. Just reminds us how us humans aren't perfect at all.
ReplyDeleteI thought your line breaks gave the poem a super interesting flow and feel. Also, I really like the last line of your poem.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy the way you cut the lines to create a sort of dissension within the meaning of the poem. I really enjoy the line "Spoken by the enlightened ones of the past".
ReplyDeleteReally cool poem and message. I like the ending about the Wise man who knows only half the truth
