The Plane
A paper airplane
So simple
Clean and
White paper
Crisp folds
It glides
Freely
Without a care
Drifting
No plans
No destination
No commitments
No purpose
Not a worry in sight
Letting the wind be
Its guide
It is free
Free from all
Gliding on
I love the repetition of no, no, no. My favorite line is "no plans, no destination, no commitments, no purpose." Great overall work, interesting spacing!
ReplyDeleteI really like the way the sounds worked to emphasize the message of your poem, particularly in "so simple" which evokes a something soft and soothing and "crisp" which is one of those words that sounds like its meaning, something sharp and biting in a refreshing way. I like how you closed it with "gliding on" as it evokes an image of a paper airplane calmly sailing into the distance. Great job!
