The Plane

paper airplane 1

The Plane

A paper airplane
So simple
Clean and
White paper
Crisp folds

It glides
Freely
Without a care
Drifting

No plans
No destination
No commitments
No purpose

Not a worry in sight
Letting the wind be
Its guide

It is free
Free from all

Gliding on

  1. I love the repetition of no, no, no. My favorite line is "no plans, no destination, no commitments, no purpose." Great overall work, interesting spacing!

  2. I really like the way the sounds worked to emphasize the message of your poem, particularly in "so simple" which evokes a something soft and soothing and "crisp" which is one of those words that sounds like its meaning, something sharp and biting in a refreshing way. I like how you closed it with "gliding on" as it evokes an image of a paper airplane calmly sailing into the distance. Great job!
