Poem Thingy

The Similitude of Oppositions

*Disclaimer: The term "Dao" can be legally used interchangeably with the term "Tao", as demonstrated by the poem below

What exactly is Dao?

Dao is the war to peace
The fire to ice
The feast to famine

Without the Dao
Everything would be chaos
But with the chaos comes order
For one cannot exist without its counterpart

Dao is the body to mind
The light to shadow
The sun to the moon

The balance in the universe

Seekers of The Way understand
Dao is not a physical manifestation
But rather a belief of existence
The grain of sand that balances the scale

The understanding of this
Guides the Seekers to become Masters

  1. Nice spelling of "Tao" and also good image to go along with the poem 👌

  2. Finally the correct spelling! I like how your poem had so many abstract contradictions, but not so many as to overload the senses.

  3. I like how you made so many comparisons to Dao as well as related them to the idea of coexistence. Your picture fits really well with your poem. I enjoyed reading this a lot.

  4. This poem successfully reveals and summarizes some of the most important ideals from Taoism, and the comparisons you make to Taoism are very clever and well thought out.
