Whispers of Silk

It will take its time,
Trickling through mazes of pebbles
And grains of sand
It will rush like a hurricane
Sweeping away any that lay in its path
Put your ear to her pearls
The echoes and whispers of its delicate dances reminisce

They leave tales of travel
Their paths taken,
Creating a map of intricate veins.
That have carved dimples on shores
And valleys out of mountains

The promising source of continuation
The promise of new life, new day
That which is bathed in, celebrated in, seeked for
Of something that harbors itself in all
She fell into the silky embrace,

Only to be enveloped in deep slumber

  2. Amazing imagery and great descriptions. The poem was so well done and the ideas layered within it were complex and interesting, captivating the reader. My favorite line was "The echoes and whispers of its delicate dances reminisce"-- it just really adds something to the poem. Good job!
