Dream about the future.
Chase the dream you’ve always been dreaming
Wanting to drown in the pool and give up on life
Keeping afloat by thought.
The future is what holds your dreams.
Be peaceful.
Be mindful.
Don’t regret your mistakes.
Don’t drag them behind you.
Do something. Hurry up!
Watching the scenes
Crying of pain
Stabbing yourself with regret.
Dream about the future. Forget the past.
The past is gone.
They are only memories now.
Learn from your mistakes.
Let those tears flow.
Don’t hold onto anything.
Dream about the future. Forget about the past. Go with the flow.
I think your poem is really good, especially the second stanza. I thought you imitated the style of the Tao chapters well.
ReplyDeleteThe content of your poem was very diverse. It was interesting to have advice and concepts in the same poem!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed how you showed how we should live by the Tao without explicitly mentioning it! The figurative language you used is similar to the ones of the Tao Te Ching.
ReplyDeleteExcellent poem! I really like how your poem teaches us to look forwards to our future and let go of any mistakes we may commit, as well as how we should "go with the flow." It is a really good poem that connects wells with the Tao Te Ching chapters.
