questioning infinity??

we know nothing.
not what we are taught, day after day, words and images drilled into our memories
wasting time on pointless facts and figures
ingrained, engraved in our brains, indoctrinated
but to what extent? the most important things will never be seen as such

some things are not meant to be known.
too pure, too powerful for a simple human mind to ever comprehend
just as we all have our secrets, the universe has her own
she whispers her widsoms in the ears of those she deems worthy
we are only left wondering, always wondering.

there comes a point in one’s life
where a realization must be made
that some things that will never be known,
that some questions will never be answered
and that it is the way it is.

questions, so many questions.
but never any answers.
we are only left wondering, always wondering.
looking for what will we never find, asking what we will never know
what exists beyond the point of existence?

  5. I love how you really conveyed emotion through each line, and each line really sent my brain to a new place. The space theme really worked out with the Tao as well, its very inspiring and moving as well.

  6. Your message is really unique, it can be difficult to write a poem about the unknown rather than the known. Your final sentence being a question was a great idea, it really cinched together the whole poem.
