The Master declares,
I embrace the Tao.
While the foolish are rigid to adversity,
I welcome it.
While the foolish fear death,
I am ready for it.
While the foolish look at the world,
I look into myself.
While the foolish follow others,
I follow myself.
While the foolish reject the Tao,
I embrace it.
I really liked how you explicitly stated the Tao, and showed what it was like to follow the way of the Tao. I enjoyed your use of contradicting statements when comparing the foolish to yourself (someone who follows the Tao)
ReplyDeleteI really liked how you kept the poem short and sweet, but still included a lot of meaning. I like that you compared a fool with yourself, showing the value of the Tao. This poem also has a lot of elements from Tao poems, which makes it sound great.
ReplyDeleteThe poem was shorter than others, but it still included everything that was in the other poems. Just as the comments above say, the use of contradicting your words played very nicely with the flow and meaning of the poem. Good job!
ReplyDeleteShort but it still made a point... and it had lots of meaning and comparison.
