Follow Only The Tao

Let yourself have a clear mind
The less you let your thoughts control you,
The more progress you will achieve

Follow only what you feel is right
Don’t push for an outcome you may not obtain
The harder you push the less you will receive

Follow only the Tao
For the master knows what is best
And always leads you down the right path

The Tao helps those who struggle when it comes to finding their way
The Tao helps you hush your mind enough to leave things be
The Tao helps to remind yourself to let things take their course

So follow the master
Follow the Tao
Follow what feels meant to be

  1. I like how you included the master into your poem and talked about how he will lead you down the right path, which connects to the picture at the bottom.

  2. I really like the line "The harder you push the less you will receive" because it represents the ideas of the Tao and the ideas in the poems we read extremely well.

  4. This poem really looks like it could be in the Tao Te Ching!
