Find air, find clarity-
Forget the future,
Forget expectations,
And just leave things as they are.
Find the surface, find the way-
Forget the present,
Forget reality,
And just leave things as they are.
Abandon humanity’s compass,
The rules in Earth’s maps;
There is no black and white, nor yes and no-
Let go of the law, let go of doubt.
No purpose, no meaning,
No desire, no feeling:
Embrace the contrary, the everything, the nothing,
And let the Master guide you.

I like how your poem flowed and the way you used repetition in it. :)
ReplyDeleteI really like the metaphor you use about a compass, it creates really good imagery.
ReplyDeleteThere is a lot of focus on letting go of this world, which is indeed a major part of the Tao. It was conveyed very effectively here.
ReplyDeleteThis poem really emphasizes finding balance and peace instead of the chaos of expectations and worries. It's very enlightening!
