Humanity

Humanity

If a human were to do something inhumane,
would he be considered not to be human?
Although many would argue yes,
The laws of nature dictate no.

We all are human, and all are made of the same stuff.
An inhumane person may have released their inner evil,
but don't we all have some within us?

In this day and age, this personality has been suppressed,
but it will never disappear.
In order to be human, we must all have some of both
Good and evil, or what would we compare ourselves to?

If we were all good, would we know that we are?
or would we consider goodness to be the norm,
like some of us already do,
and our take on evil may just be what other parts of the world consider perennial goodness?
