When a seedling sprouts in crack of a rock
It seems impossible for it to overcome such a challenge
What a small and vulnerable life
For even a gust of wind too strong would kill it
How could it possibly harm the rock
Or even anything else for that matter
But as that seedling grows
Cracks start to form
Like small little snakes
They grow bigger and bigger
But the tiny tree has a way to go
The tree is no longer small
It looms over the rock
Hiding the sun
And with an audible crack,
The rock breaks into pieces
And so does the tree
As when Yang overpowers Yin
Destruction ensues
I like how you focused less on the Master and the Tao and more on Yin and Yang.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed how you talked about the dangers of too much Yang (or Yin) through a tree! It shows how we should live by the Tao
