I am the universe.
The great creator
Put her divine soul
Into all beings.
And so she is the light
Which illuminates our world
And enlightens our minds.
She protects us
From the creeping dark
For though we may run from it
Only she can save us
From the evil of human nature.
When she sighs
The wind blows gently
And when she cries
The rain pours upon us.
She is the universe.
The way you used repetition here really drove your point home. The reputation really makes this piece feel like one of the original Tao poems we wrote because it emphasizes a harmony with all things. Good job!
ReplyDeleteI really like how you used pronouns to personify the Tao and show how it can be seen everywhere. Your writing is very strong and articulated beautifully!
