To be strong,
You must be weak.
To be a leader,
You must first be a follower.
But our world tells a different story.
Leaders are corrupt.
Power is all that matters.
They have money,
And they have fame,
But they talk more than they know.
They paint themselves as great lions
When they are little immature cubs.
They don’t understand what it’s like
To struggle,
To be weak,
And to grow
But in order to be strong,
you must first be weak.
In order to be a leader,
You must first be a follower.
I was really surprised where you went with your poem after the first stanza. The message that you wrote about rang true to me and I can appreciate the wisdom that it brings.
